Split Season Program

The Shamrocks annually field USA Hockey National Tournament bound 'split-season' teams at the 16U and 19U ages. These teams play from late August through November (when the high school season starts) and then come back together for New England District Regionals in March.

Generally, teams play on Sundays with limited Saturday scheduling to allow players to compete on their high school fall sports teams with minimal conflict.

Overview

  • At least one team-based practice a month during the fall season.

  • Independent schedule of 15-20 competitive games locally and in neighboring states (New York, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Connecticut).

  • 1-2 tournaments during the fall season.

  • New player fees include Shamrock bags & shells. All players are issued jerseys.

  • Games and practices that do not conflict with fall high school sports.

  • A focus on the well-being and development of our athletes.

  • Qualified coaches who are committed to promoting Vermont hockey and player development.

Our fees only represent our costs divided by the number of players. As such, we offer robust programming at a price point that reflects our non-profit status.
