14U Green (2003/Major)
After consulting many different team schedules, we've selected March 18th as the 03 Rocks Try-out date. This is in place of the February 25th date that was initially put out. Below are the events that the 03s will be playing in. We chose June/July events to avoid spring sports conflicts.
June 8-10th- Reebok Cup- Exeter, NH (Portsmouth area)
June 15th-17th Stars Tourney-
July 20-22nd-Beantown (This roster may be slightly different than the roster for the Reebok Cup and Stars Tourney. Consideration will be given to the extent to which players are able to participate in the tryout and other two events).
These will be supplemented by a couple of practices. Those interested in additional spring training are encouraged to take advantage of an inexpensive opportunity that will be offered by Dan Allen from St. Michael's College. His product is relatively inexpensive and his sessions are comparable to the best that I've seen. I will forward details when they become available.
We are aware that there may be conflicts. Realize that the tryout is an important component in the evaluation process. We've had some nice success in the last couple years. Because of this we have more interest than ever. Those who are unable to make this session should let us know. I have had a chance to see many of you play this year. This will be another tool used to evaluate. Know however, that decisions this year will be more difficult than ever. A great tryout could be an important factor in determining who is offered our final roster spots.
